Cameron's 15 month Doctor's Visit and visiting Santa Claus

This past Thursday, Cameron turned 15 months old and of course we had to take her to the doctor for a check-up. Most of the time she does great when we go to the doctor, but for some reason this time was different!!! As soon as we got into the room and the nurse walked in, she started screaming and crying!!! She through a fit when I had to lay her down on the table when the nurse was measuring her length, head, and weight!!! She has never done any other time when we have taking her to the doctor. But then the man with the white coat came in... fear came over her face when I had to lay her down again for the doctor to check her out. By now, I am almost in tears because she was shaking and so scared. When the doctor was done, he informed us that she was going to get two shots today. Good thing she does not understand what the word shot means yet. When then nurse came back in with the shots, I again had to lay her on the table. She was a little calmer and to my surprise, she did not cry or scream as bad with the shots as she did when the nurse was measuring or with the doctor. So our 15 month old has know created a fear of the nurse and the man in the white coat!!!

Also, a couple of weeks ago we took Cameron to go sit on Santa Claus's lap at the mall. She loves looking at pictures of Santa and playing with her Santa Claus stuff animals. She will walk around the house saying Ho, Ho, Ho and point to our snow globe because she wants us to turn the Christmas music on. We were so excited to take her to see Santa because she seemed to love all the Santa decorations. But once again to our surprise, when we got up there to sat her on his lap she screamed, cried, and tried to climb to the top of my head to get away from the big guy. So we learned that she loves looking at him from a far, far distance and playing with her Santa toys. As you can see in the picture, I had to end up sitting on Santa's lap too. And she still was crying!!!!

This past week, I was reading a pregnancy magazine and I found cool gender test. It is called Intelli Gender. They send you a cup that has some kind of special formula in it that you add your urine to. So, I thought what the heck, lets get it for fun. I ordered two of them just so I could see if they would both turn out the same. I followed the instructions and add my urine to the mix, waited 10 minutes to see the results. If it is a girl, it turns an orange color and if it is a boy, it turns greenish/blue color. I did the first one and...... it turned a dark green!!! I did the second one and....... it too turned a dark green!!!! So according to this Intelli Gender test, we are having a boy!!!! BUT we will find out for sure from the doctor around the 15th of January!!! I can't wait to see if it is true!!!!

October Fun and Halloween!

October has been a very exciting month for us. Besides our little girl is growing up way to fast and learning that she is going to be a big sister (she has already informed us that she wants a sister!!), we also took our first family vacation since Brock was born. There was eleven of us that went to Branson, MO. Cameron had her first 14 hour rode trip and to my surprise, she did very well. Usually, we hardly make is from our house to Brooksires's without her screaming. She hates the car seat. Mindy, Jeromy, Bailey, Brock, my parents, and my grandparents all we went us to Branson. It was so nice to get away!!!! Brock had a blast on vacation. He did great on the trip there. and he had a blast putt-putting. It was nice to finally all go somewhere together again as a family!!!
While on vacation Cameron's vocabulary has expanded so much. She loves to talk. I think she get that from her dad. She picks up the phone and say, "Hello" plan as day. Her favorite drink is apple juice. She pulls on the refrigerator door and say "apple juice, apple juice." She has found her eyes, hair, bows, mouth, ears, feet, shoes, and nose (sometimes she tries to stick her whole finger up there.) She can make the noises of most animals. Her favorite are the puppy, cow, donkey, monkey, bird, and horse. And she tries so hard to sing along with The Wiggles when she watches them!!! It is so funny. For Halloween, Cameron was a Peacock, Bailey was a Pirate, and Brock was an army boy. They decorated his wheel chair like an army tank. He won third place at the Brookshire's Costume contest. Oh yeah, and Jose was an old lady who lost her puppy. He loves to dress up for Halloween.

This is our little peacock. She got sick the day before Halloween so she was a sad peacock.
"Granny" Jose, Mommy, and the little peacock trick or treating down town Clifton.
What beautiful feather!!!!!
Bailey and Brock. (Yes, that is a Christmas tree up at Mindy's house, but it is a black tree decorated with Halloween stuff.)

We have introduced to the potty. She will sit on it for a second and then she just gets up and runs off!!! We have yet to actually go in the potty yet!!!
Daddy and Cameron ready for Halloween.

This is Cameron's favorite new thing!!!! You try to get her ready for her bath and she takes of running naked through the house. It is so funny!!!!!
Our pretty little girl!!!! She loved the pumpkins this year!!

We dressed up Cameron in her boots for the fair and rodeo in Waco.
Daddy had a lot of fun in October. He got the chance to go take a tour of the Cowboy training facility at the ranch. He also got to ride on Jerry Jones's personal bus. He was in heaven!!!!! Yes, that is Tony Romo's locker he is standing in front of. Mommy is soooo jealous.
Hope everyone had a save and Happy Halloween. Turkey day is just around the corner.
